The Gaffneys' lives are interrupted by the arrival of new neighbors, whose stunning looks are matched only by the worldly sophistication of their lives. Movie Theater Mylar's-were used by the theaters in two places... one, in the box office, where small ones (2.5" x 11.5 ") announced the names of all the features being shown at that theater, and two, at the doorways of the actual auditoriums, where large ones (5" x 25") indicated which movies were being shown in which auditoriums. The Mylar's were placed in lightboxes, creating stunning displays by lighting up the translucent Mylar images from behind. Most theaters used these movie Mylar's from the late 1980's until just a few years ago when many of them began converting to digital signs. Mylar's are very collectible pieces of movie memorabilia and are becoming very rare as more and more theaters convert to digital displays.
