The Mylar's were placed in lightboxes, creating stunning displays by lighting up the translucent Mylar images from behind. Most theaters used these movie Mylar's from the late 1980's until just a few years ago when many of them began converting to digital signs. Mylar's are very collectible pieces of movie memorabilia and are becoming very rare as more and more theaters convert to digital displays.
